which located right bottom position at Main view, click the item under
“Online Support”.

At the first time, the zMap
will request the authority for GPS access. Click “OK” to allow or click “Don’t allow”
to denied. (You can allow it later at
iOS system setting page.)

then import it via iTunes File sharing or other App, please read Tutorial 6 for
details.
The Online Google Map with cache is available which will store the map tiles when internet connection is available and store it in the cache. |

Tutorial 03 - Explore the Bookmark & Search (v2.9)

Press “Bookmark&Search” button at top right corner of the Map screen, the search bar will
show and press Bookmark button. The Bookmark view will show all KML files and
bookmark. Click on each KML item will enter the content of this KML file. Press
top left button will move to upper level and “Done” button to back to Map
view.

Currently you can create and export the KML
file at Google Map (http://maps.google.com)
or Microsoft Bing Maps services (http://www.bing.com/maps/)
however the Bing Maps service is not available to save direction data. (For these services, Google or Windows Live Account is required)

Prepare Map Tiles data at Computer by GMDL

Download and install Global Map Download Tool
(GMDL) at http://code.google.com/p/gmdl/
(latest version 0.5.15b) or directly download at this link http://www.in7ane.com/psp/gmdl.html.
The GMDL is free Windows application.
After download, unzip it then start the GMDL
application by click the file “Global Map Download Tool.exe” which under
directory, GMDL\bin\Debug\”.
At the left panel, you can choose “Map Source”
for different map. For non-language Google Map, please deselect the “en” box
and change the language parameter in text box. For example for Japanese, you
should change the parameter from “m@180000000&hl=en” to
“m@180000000&hl=ja”

Tutorial 05c - Create Map by xGPS Manager (v2.3)
1. Prepare Map Tiles data at Computer by xGPS Manager
Download and install xGPS Manager at http://xgps.xwaves.net/index.php/Downloads, to download it directly. The xGPS Manager is free application for Windows, Macintosh, Linux with Java Runtime please detail please read xGPS home page, http://xgps.xwaves.net.
After install the xGPS Manager, press xGPS Manager icon to start the xGPS Manager and the follow screen should be shown:

Tutorial 06a - Import file via Wifi
From version 2.8, you can import the map and bookmark file via Wifi network. To start the Wifi connect, press "Wifi" button at the left bottom in Main page.
You will see the Wifi page which show the IP address at the pag. The notification may pop-up to reminds you to disable auto-screen lock.
Remarks:
Please keep Wifi page and run zMap at foreground during the connection
The file is limited at 50MB for Lite version

Tutorial 06b - Import file by Apple iTune File Sharing or other App (v2.0)

On the computer, rename the downloaded
map and KML files. (e.g. ata.mbtiles to Sample.mbtiles and change the
corresponded KML file to Sample.kml).
Connect your iOS device to
the computer and start up iTune.
(Make sure you App is closed) then go to “DEVICE>Apps>File
Sharing” screen.

Tutorial 07 - Read large Map Tiles File (>500MB)
When read large map tiles file at Galileo, RMaps, Big Planet & Osmand format, zMap may suspends on "Analysis Map Tiles" process or crash. The problem is caused by the database index for these files are not design for non-continuous zoom level and the conversion process is quite resouces-consuming on iOS device. To solve this problem, you will need pre-process for the map tiles file on the computer by Firefox with extension SQLite-manager (http://code.google.com/p/sqlite-manager/)
Start SQLite-Manager at Firefox by Tools>SQLite Manager.

Tutorial 08a - GPS Tracking (v2.6 and later)

The GPS Tracking record functions,
which record your GPS location and save into GPX file. Moreover you can access
these files via iTunes folder sharing.
This function is only valid for in-app
purchase for zMap. For zMap without purchase the GPS tracking function or
zMap lite, you can try it for 3 minutes per day.
Go to “In-App Purchase”
page and press the blue price button for buy this function. (If you already
brought the function but re-install the zMap or install zMap on other device,
press “Restore” button it restore the previous purchase from iTunes store)

Tutorial 08b - Audio Mapping (Record audio and bookmark) (v2.9)
You can record the audio (WAV) with bookmark (GPX) by zMap on any iOS 6 devices. These output files can be used in JOSM "Java OpenStreetMap Editor"software for further edit.
There
are two ways to start the recording. You can press the "Record" button
and select "Start Boomark + Audio" or you can press "Play/Stop" button
at your headset if the Headset control setting is enabled in Setting
page.

Tutorial 09 - GPS Share via Bluetooth
Now, you can share the GPS signal to other iOS device via Bluetooth so that iOS device without GPS hardware like iPod or iPad Wifi can use for navigation.
